Description :	Absence de préparation. Présence d'un dessin préparatoire au pinceau. Oeuvre non vernie. La toile est fixée sur le châssis par des clous forgés. Couture sur la gauche de toile, sur toute la hauteur.

Historique :	Cette toile a été retrouvée derrière la peinture de l'autel des âmes du purgatoire lors de sa dépose pour restauration en 1997 (fiche n°254). Restauré en 1997 par le CRPA (Gaillac, 81).

Précision sur_l'état :	Traces de brûlure sur la droite, très visible au revers.
Précision_sur la representation :	Dans la partie basse, des anges sortent des âmes des flammes du Purgatoire. Au-dessus, dans les nuées, le Christ assis sur le globe, bénit de la dextre, avec à sa droite la Vierge et à sa gauche, saint Jean-Baptiste et, tout en haut, Dieu le Père les bras grand ouverts.
